Parashah Shofetim
Moshè instructs the Israelites to coronate a king after they enter Israel. A Jewish king may not amass an excessive amount of horses, wives, or personal wealth. The king writes for himself two Torah scrolls. One of them remains with him at all times, a constant reminder to remain humble and follow G‑d's Law.

Parashah Reeh
Moshè commands the Israelites to designate every seventh year as a Shmitah
(Sabbatical) Year. During this year, creditors must forgive outstanding
loans. The section then discusses the obligation to give charity to the
poor with a happy heart, and to lend them money if necessary, even if
the Shmitah Year is looming.

parashah Eikev
This section begins with a promise: if the Israelites observe G‑d's commandments, they will be blessed in a multitude of ways
Moshè provides a description of many of the wonderful features of the Land of Israel, Moshè tells the Israelites that the land of Israel is constantly dependent upon G‑d for irrigating rains, and that the land is constantly under G‑d's watchful eyes.

Tisha b'Av - 9th of Av
Both the first and second Holy Temples which stood in
Jerusalem were destroyed on Av 9: the First Temple by the Babylonians in
the year 3338 from creation (423 BCE), and the second by the Romans in
3829 (69 CE).
The Temples' destruction represents the greatest tragedy in Jewish history, for it marks our descent into Galut the state of physical exile and spiritual displacement in which we still find ourselves today. Thus the Destruction is mourned as a tragedy that affects our lives today, 2,000 years later, no less than the very generation that experienced it first hand.

Parashah Devarim - Israel felt map
Moshè delineates the borders of the lands allotted to the aforementioned
tribes. He then repeats the instructions he gave to these tribes to
cross the Jordan together with their brethren and participate in the
battle against the Canaanites before returning to their land on the
eastern bank of the Jordan. Yeoshua,
who will lead the nation into Israel, is enjoined not to be fearful of
the battles which he will face, because "it is the L-rd, your G‑d, who
is fighting for you."

Parashah Massei
In this week's reading, Massei, Moshè reviews the forty years of Israelite journeys through the desert. The Torah discusses the boundaries of Israel.
The Torah recounts the journeys of the Jews in the desert. In the first aliyah the Torah lists the first seven of the 42 journeys which took them from Egypt to the banks of the Jordan.
....so we worked on maps, boundaries and geographical locations
